The Helderberg Quilters Guild is a group of about 80 quilters who are dedicated to promoting the art of quilting in South Africa and the local area.
We are located in the picturesque Cape Winelands, not far from Cape Town.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month in the Somerset West Library Hall at 9.30 am. Meetings usually involve guest speakers, technique tutorials, 'Show and Tell' time and door prizes. A fabric vendor attends each meeting and this is a great way to stock up on fabric and notions.
This year our focus is on using our stash and scrap quilts. The guild challenge is to make a quilt entirely from scraps. The challenge quilts will be unveiled at the October meeting.
Local and international visitors are welcome. For more information contact Ruth Crocombe
